Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Alex Wasserman completed his Kinesiology and Health Sciences degree at York University, after which he worked as a certified personal trainer in Calgary. He then attended the University of Toronto medical school, graduating in 2016. After five years of subspecialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Manitoba, he pursued further training focused on advanced ultrasound guided diagnostic and interventional procedures in Edmonton, Alberta.
Dr. Wasserman’s academic interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound’s applications in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, the use of orthobiologics and regenerative approaches to decrease pain and increase function, as well as electrodiagnostic medicine.
