Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Dr. Cheliak completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences at Brock University. She then graduated from medical school at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University and went on to complete her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at McMaster University. In addition to her work at Kinesis Medical Centre, she is currently completing her Pain Medicine residency at the University of Calgary. Dr. Cheliak’s special interests include pain medicine, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided interventions, and spasticity management. She is a strong proponent of the importance of exercise and rehabilitation in the treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions.
