IMPORTANT Information to know about your appointment with Kinesis Medical Centre.

Kinesis Medical REQUIRES patients to CONFIRM all appointments! Appointments not confirmed within 48hrs of scheduled appointment time will be CANCELLED and require a new referral to be placed back on waitlist for an appointment. Patients will receive an automatic confirmation call for their scheduled appointment 5 days prior to your appointment, PLEASE Press 1 to confirm or Press 2 to cancel your appointment, then you will receive a courtesy reminder call 72 hours prior to appointment but will not be provided the option to confirm or cancel, this would need to be done by calling the clinic directly. Failure to confirm your appointment will result in an automatic cancelation of appointment and referral.

 

Kinesis Medical Centre requires minimum 48 hours' notice of any appointment cancellation! Failure to provide proper notice or a Failure to attend your appointment with no notice at all, "No Show", will result in a cancellation of your referral. This means that you will need to be referred to our Clinic again and placed back on our waitlist.

 

Come alone if possible, to your appointment and arrive 10 mins early.

 

We cannot guarantee any patient arriving late will be able to still be seen.

 

Mask or Face covering is optional within our clinic.

A referral is required prior to assessment

We accept referrals from the following health practitioners:

  • Physicians
  • Chiropractors
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists

Is there a cost for our services?

All consultations and follow-up appointments at Kinesis are billed through Alberta Health or Blue Cross Medavie (Refugee, CAF & Veterans). There is no cost to the patient.

 

What to expect after referral

Once we receive a referral, it will be triaged accordingly and the referring MD office will be updated with an estimated wait time. Processing referrals typically takes 7 business days. Referring MD offices can request there patient to be placed on our cancellation list once the referral is processed.

 

How to prepare for appointment

Once you have confirmed your appointment, please arrange to be at your appointment 10 minutes early to get checked in. You will need to bring with you your Personal Healthcare Card and Government issued ID. It is recommended that you bring a change of clothes (ideally shorts and a tank top) and that no hand creams or body lotions are to be worn to your appointment. Continue taking all prescribed medications and NO fasting is required!
